Hyaluronic Acid Filler

Hyaluronic Acid Filler Overview

Injectable hyaluronic acid filler is a type of temporary dermal filler, lasting approximately 6 to 18 months. Hyaluronic acid is found naturally throughout the body, and in the skin it attracts water, which allows the dermis to become more hydrated. Hyaluronic acid is used to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, facial folds, and to create structure, framework, and add volume to areas of the face (such as the lips, jawline, cheekbones, nasolabial folds, under-eye, among other areas). Anesthesia

During the Hyaluronic Acid Filler treatment, topical anesthesia is used to ensure patient comfort during the procedure. Some hyaluronic acid fillers also contain lidocaine, a local anesthetic, for added comfort during injection.

Procedure Time

The treatment is minimally invasive and typically takes 15-30 minutes, depending on the areas treated.

Post-treatment Care

The Hyaluronic Acid Filler procedure is an outpatient procedure. Avoid strenuous activity or exercise for 1 day following treatment.

Results and Recovery

Results are immediate, with full effects visible once any initial swelling subsides. There’s minimal downtime, with most patients returning to normal activities immediately. Minor bruising or swelling may occur but typically resolves within a few days.
